wp-cron-status-checker plugin, version 1.2.8, exhibits a generally good security posture based on the provided static analysis. The absence of exploitable AJAX handlers, REST API routes, and shortcodes without proper authentication or permission checks significantly limits its attack surface. The presence of nonce and capability checks, along with the consistent use of prepared statements for a substantial portion of its SQL queries, indicates adherence to common WordPress security best practices. The vulnerability history is also a strong positive, showing no recorded CVEs, which suggests a history of secure development and maintenance. However, a notable concern is the output escaping, which is only properly handled in 53% of cases. This leaves room for potential cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities if the unescaped outputs are user-controlled.
