The absence of known vulnerabilities (CVEs) in its history is also a strong indicator of good security practices in the past. However, there are significant areas for concern. The plugin lacks any nonce or capability checks for its entry points, which are the two shortcodes. This means any user, regardless of their role or permissions, can trigger the functionality associated with these shortcodes. While the attack surface is small, its complete lack of authentication or authorization checks is a critical oversight. The fact that 51% of outputs are not properly escaped also presents a risk of Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities, as user-supplied data could be injected and executed within the browser.
