The Arkam Lite plugin version 1.0.1 presents a mixed security posture. On the positive side, it exhibits good practices by not utilizing dangerous functions, avoiding raw SQL queries, and generally employing nonce and capability checks for its entry points. The absence of any known historical vulnerabilities further suggests a level of security diligence. However, there are notable concerns. The plugin exposes an unprotected AJAX handler, which is a significant attack vector, especially given that no taint analysis data is available to confirm proper sanitization of any data processed through it. Furthermore, a substantial portion of output (55%) is not properly escaped, increasing the risk of Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities.
